Hello!  Thank you for visiting my webpage and considering psychotherapy.  I received my Master's degree from UW-Madison in 1998 and have been a psychotherapist for 10 years.  I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Minnesota.  I am excited that everyday I get to fulfill my passion for helping and empowering others.  I believe that it is a privilege that others allow me into their   lives to assist them when they are struggling emotionally.  It is rewarding to see people decrease their symptoms, increase their functioning, and feel better.  I continue to be amazed at clients' perseverence, strength, determination, and dedication to improve themselves and their emotional health.  I view therapy as a collaborative process - the client and therapist working as a team.  I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults.  I am an adjunct professor at several local   colleges, and also do public speaking on various topics.  I have worked mainly in the health care and hospice fields, specializing in grief and loss.  I also enjoy helping others with issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, relationships, divorce, self-esteem, families, illness, stress, & women's issues.
